The Mani (Η Μάνη)
The middle peninsula in the south of the Peloponese. A fascinating area, which changes substantially the further south you go.
Green and mountainous in the north, with excellent walking. Wild, rugged and barren in the south. The picturesque town of Stoupa is very popular and there are many ex-pat Brits now living there. There is a large airport at Kalamata which has many international flights, including from the UK. Not many buses from the airport though.
