Welcome to Greek Images, featuring over 2000 photographs, from nearly 60 islands and mainland locations, taken over 33 years. The different regions and islands of Greece all have their own unique character, including landscape, climate, architecture and wildlife. With my Greek photography I have tried to convey something of the essence of the places that we have visited, rather than just the usual views of beaches and towns. Hopefully you will find the images either informative, artistic, or entertaining. All locations have a link to Google Maps so you can see where they are.
We started travelling to Greece in 1993, at first on a package holiday but now mostly independently. A few of these photos therefore date back over 30 years, so are of some historical interest as many of the islands have since changed substantially. The earlier images were scanned from Fujichrome slides but since 2008 they are all digital. Greek Images is very much still an ongoing project and new photographs will continue to be added as we visit different places.

New photos added from our return to Syros (after a gap of 17 years), staying at Kini for the first time.

Later this year we will be returning to Logaras on Paros. Another small settlement with a handful of tavernas, and small sandy beaches with tamarisk trees for shade - our favourite sort of place.
