Chios (Χίος) - A large island that is difficult to fully explore without a car. We saw the most interesting parts in the south using buses and on foot and it was well worth the effort. It is unlike any other Greek island and has few concessions to tourism. Nevertheless it is fascinating with lots of different things to see. Well worth investigating and we would like to go back and see the rest of it.
