Lefkas or Lefkada (λευκάδα) - Connected to the mainland by a causeway, this is a spectacular island
with a mountainous interior, many small islands off the east coast, and a rugged west coast with white cliffs and stunning beaches. The main resort of Nidri
gets busy in August but, in general, the tourism is all fairly low key.
Well worth a visit.
